[Bug 518409] Re: Cut video showing wrong section in playback

Searching someting for a user, i fall down on this bug. The problem is
always actual. For a reason that i 'm not sure, for a recording with a
DVB-T card in MPEG2 format, there is a de-syncronisation between the
audio (at the right place) and the video who seems cut at the right
place but either you preview it either you export you have a de-
syncronisation. The video that you think to have cut at the right place
(and remove the wrong part) is not the result that you could hope.

I have lots of 720p avi files transcoded from 1080p mp4s using winff. I'm attempting to make an out-takes compilation but some of the videos I've cut up are showing the incorrect video, they're producing the correct audio and the video is showing the correct length but showing video from the beginning of the unedited clip.

The odd thing is some of the clips show the correct video others produce the above. Unfortunately the majority show the incorrect video.

Is there anything I can do to save my project? I've sunk about 7 hours into this so far and I'd love to rescue it rather than have to redo it!
