[Bug 509974] Re: OpenShot gets slower as you add more clips to the timeline

I'm sorry to inform you that with the last commit the situation got worse: openshot is still awfully slow in seeking the pointer after some modification has been made to the timeline, and now there are also a few more bugs:
1. audio and video play faster than normal (but are kept in sync)
2. video shows a vertical garbage line on the right edge of the preview
3. audio and video start playing immediately after the project has opened (without clicking on the play button), but they don't play smooth and are interrupted several times for about half a second each time.

Here is the output, just in case you need it:

lucio@precision:~/openshot/bin$ ./openshot

Status in OpenShot Video Editor: Fix Committed

Bug description:
When I have about 100 JPG photo files (about 10MP) Openshot get's REALLY slow. Up to 10 seconds just to change the position in the timeline (programme gets grayed out in this time). CPU: 100%, RAM: 33% - so RAM is not the problem. The CPU is a Dual Core 2GHz (Intel core 2 duo CPU T5870 @ 2GHz). Is that too slow??? I wonder because everything is fine with only a few files.

Thx,
k_s

P.S.:
Ubuntu karmic koala 9.10
Openshot 1.0.0 (ppa)
