Wrong. When you want to do a cut, you can do one with the help of the play-head . Where is she , you use the shortcut c. And for the rest see the manual here (Principal window at the botton): http://www.openshotusers.com/help/en_GB/
And if you use the version who is in the trunk, we have added a lot of shortcuts.

Bug description:
I often compose longer videos from smaller parts, and I often switch between the tools, mostly point/cut. Apparently this can only be done with mouse.  It would be great to have keyboard shortcuts for each tool.

I'm using OpenShot v1.1.3
