Thanks for a report bug so detailed ! 
In fact, it is because you were on karmic and you have done an update on Lucid. When we have done the manual, we have put a bad numerotaion (in fact it was in accord with Gnome numerotation but not with Debian/Ubuntu numerotation. And when we have seen that we have changed for the distributon numerotation instead of the environnement.
For resolving your problem, you must remove your first version of openshot-doc and after, done a clean installation of the same package but now it will have none conflict.
