Here's a patch (works off single click, like the mute/visible icons).
This might not be needed if we make the details available in separate
panels, but here it is anyway.

Bug description:
When we add an effect to the clip in openshot 1.1 "an effects icon" shows up under the audio video icons of the clip.

Now if I want to change the parameters of the effect, I have to rightclick the clip and select properties. Then click the effects tab one more time to set parameters.

The whole process can be shortened if just doubleclicking on the "Effects icon" takes us to the clip properties dialog box with effects tab pre-selected.

Great! isn't it?

It still keeps the interface cleaner; at the same time handing over great power to the user to save time.
