Just wanted to add that I also tried using ATI fglrx instead of the radeon driver but that didn't have any effect, too.
Please fix this. I cannot be the only one having this problem (!?), I love ubuntu and I don't want to install Windows and use movie maker.

Status in OpenShot Video Editor: Won't Fix

Bug description:
When I add or move a clip in the timeline I have to hit zoom buttons to force a refresh of the timeline and the clips appears.

OS: Ubuntu 10.10 beta
Installation: Bundled package and PPA
Version: 1.1.3
