Re: [Bug 716799] Re: Poor video playback with HD vide
No, I'm not a pro. I have some video rendered to DVD for my own collection but I
also have a few on you tube. I did use MS Windows 7 and Power Director by
Cyberlink which was very good software and provided plenty of manipulation of
vid. Even that software (probably windows) had some problems and I would get the
all famous "windows has encountered an error" message. Whats the diff right?
Except that I paid money for PD.
I have been messing around with Open shot and I will take the time to learn what
I can get out of it. I find that the problem with Open Shot is that it is not
"fluid" in playback. When editing I am looking for fluidity and just the right
spot to edit a clip out etc. When you have to drag the marker around a bit, this
feel for the vid is slightly lost. I only really know what I have done after
producing the vid. I will study the links below to see if there is more that I
can do. Remember that this is just a hobby for me and the world will not end as
a result of this :)

Poor video playback with HD video
Status in OpenShot Video Editor:

Bug description:
I have tried several video editors but Open Shot seems to be the best
for Linux. However, the video playback with high def video is very
poor. It will play back but it stumbles and breaks up the audio as
well. I noted that the standard def vid (both high and standard def
being GoPro cameras), works well but not the high def. This might not
be a bug but more an upgrade if there is one?
