What is the version of MLT in Natty ? 
You should try an update of this version using the sunab repository, she is now in the version 0.70 and it can resolve your MLT problem. You will have some new packages (like libmlt4,) and some others removes (like limlt3)

  I can not execute it in Ubuntu 11.04 (natty)

Status in OpenShot Video Editor:
  New

Bug description:
  I have updated my system to Ubuntu 11.04 from the previous 10.10
  version...... and now Openshot does not run.... This is what I receive
  when I execute "openshot" from the command-line.
