[Bug 773876] Re: i can't install openshot after installing Kdenlive 0.8

Sorry I have done a bad manoeuvring on my laptop, OS need to have 2.6 and greater. Each time that a version of Kendlive is out (and when she is not in the ubuntu repository) there is an incompatibilité with some others softwares like OS but not only him. You should use the official version of Kdenlive (i.e. Ubuntu repository). You are not oblige to reinstall ubuntu for that if you have ibnstalled a software by a PPA. There is a tool who give you a back of your system before to install the software who give you some problems. Install ppa-purge and redone the same operation that you have install the ppa.
ex sudo ppa-purge adressoftheppatahtyouwanttoremovethesoftware.
this operation will remove the software installed and all his dependencies.

Title:
i can't install openshot after installing Kdenlive 0.8

Status in OpenShot Video Editor:
  New

Bug description:
first i tried to install openshot (i'm now in natty ubuntu 11.04) from
software center and it was installed successfully and it works . then
i went the kdenlive download page and i added the ppa and download it,
every thing is great till now but when i opened openshot it was not
working (kdenlive was working) i noticed later that it was a conflict
between dependencies of the 2 programs(because kdenlive needs mlt0.7)
. i tried the reverse (and this after reinstalling my system) i first
installed kdenlive and then i went to the software center to install
openshot but it gives me an error of "openshot needs python >= 2.5 but
  you have python 2.7".
