In this case, I am thinking that you have only like solution to .....wait an update of MLT. 
Today, I've just finished an update of MLT and he is now in the version 0.7.7. You should check until this bug (and some others) will be resolved. I 've seen too that a new correction bug's version of Kdenlive will be out quickly and I am  sure that this regressions bugs are not strange to this situation that we know currently.
