os-hosts API in OpenStack ESSEX not working

Hallo all,

This is regarding the Nova API for getting the list of compute nodes and currently, it is returning an empty list. I am using OpenStack ESSEX and I could see there is already a bug<https://bugs.launchpad.net/nova/+bug/1014925> raised, fixed and released in FOLSOM related to the hosts api. Can somebody guide me if I have to use the hosts API in OpenStack ESSEX version, what configuration changes do I have to make in order to get information on hosts?
