.deb Package with JOSM for Ubuntu, Debian, ...

Hi everybody,

first of all: I'm a total launchpad newbie!
But today i played with the debian package management and i was able to
build a josm.deb which installs the newest version of josm.

So went further and now i have a bash script which checks the current
SVN Version of josm and if the SVN repository was updatet, it generates
automatically an new deb package with the newest version of JOSM.

I have no idea if this is the way it could work with launchpad?
I can upload my script to my private server and let a cronjob execute
the script every 12 hours?

Kölly
