I wasn't talking about Launchpad or the wiki, but about the forum and
the mailing lists as means for communication and the potential
redundancies this poses. Using the forum as an interim project
management solution is not something I have a problem with. The
"General Discussion" sections however would duplicate functionality if
we were to start using mailing lists. I also don't say that we should
scrap these forum sections altogether. I just want that we clearly
define what is to be discussed where. If the design team prefers forum
communication, then that's fine, but then it should not get a mailing
list as well. Likewise if the dev team prefers a mailing list, they
should not get a dev forum, too. But all this has to be written down
somewhere (e.g. the "Volunteer Resources" wiki entry) so everyone
(especially newcomers) knows how this is handled. That was all.
