Google Summer of Code 2010
Hi All,
The GSoC 2010 (Summer relating to the Northern Hemisphere of course)
hasn't been announced yet but once it is, there is a short time frame
for organizations to prepare. Last year I submitted OSHIP but was
rejected. The reason given was that my ideas did not seem well thought
out.
Some of you may qualify to participate as students and some as mentors.
There are payments involved for both positions.
I would like to submit the Multi-Level Health Information Modeling
(MLHIM) project as a candidate this year (assuming there is a GSoC2010).
We have several projects with a lot of work to do.
We can and should feed our ideas from the LP Blueprints and if there are
other ideas we should place them into Blueprints with a specific Version
and milestone of the particular project.
We are a fairly fast moving organization so it is sometimes difficult to
plan these things that far in advance. However, we do have the LNCC
summer course coming up and I believe that by the end of that we can
have a very good set of ideas put together. This will help our projects
tremendously.
I have created a folder at http://www.mlhim.org/gsoc2010/folder_contents
and though it isn't published; it is shared with logged in users. So
you should be able to add ideas to it. I will also add links as
appropriate. A couple of links that you should review first are:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vBRRR0BQyz0&feature=channel (and related
videos)
Cheers,
Tim
