[Bug 636111] [NEW] v3.0.0 beta - Cannot use https

Private security bug reported:

On Linux, when attempting to use secure https you can view a page, but
any links and/or buttons that you click will take you to an unsecured
http page.

Also, if you try to use an .htaccess file to force all links to stay
secured (https) then you cannot even login... it will keep redirecting
you to https login page.
