[Bug 1210202] [NEW] Anti-virus threat detections in repo source packages
Public bug reported:
I was running a routine antivirus scan on my local repository mirror and
got the following output from clamav:
/libm/libmail-deliverystatus-bounceparser-perl/libmail-deliverystatus-
bounceparser-perl_1.528.orig.tar.gz: Worm.Mytob.LC FOUND
For the record, this scan was performed on 8/6/2013. Below is the
version and av database file dates used:
ClamAV 0.97.8/17634/Tue Aug 6 12:46:39 2013
Jul 23 10:12 bytecode.cvd
Aug 6 13:12 daily.cld
Jul 23 10:09 main.cvd
Aug 6 09:37 safebrowsing.cvd
I was able to further verify this by scanning this file with Symantec
Endpoint Protection version 11.0.7000.975
** Affects: libmail-deliverystatus-bounceparser-perl (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
** Attachment added: "Symantec Endpoint Protection version 11 Log output"
