I also tried installing the libgoocanvas2-perl from here:
https://reposcope.com/package/libgoocanvas2-perl

Still, after closing an relaunching shutter, right-clicking an image
produces a disabled "Edit" option in the context-menu.

I'm really missing this feature. I'd love for it to be an auto-installed
package-dependency when installing shutter in 18.04.

I'd also appreciate any further instructions on getting this working
before then.
