Hi,

Just a quick note to say that with the changes awaiting review pkgme is
now self-hosting, in that it can produce packaging for itself that
works.

There are still some issues, such as the description being totally
unreadable, and the changelog handling needs to be a bit different to
everything else as it should show history, rather than just being about
the current state. This is still an important milestone though.

The next thing is to test it with other projects, as that will show
areas where more work is needed. To that end I've just uploaded the
latest work that I have to

  https://launchpad.net/~pkgme-committers/+archive/dev

So

  sudo add-apt-repository ppa:pkgme-committers/dev
  sudo apt-get update
  sudo apt-get install pkgme
  pkgme

is enough to create a source package.
