from the beginning of this bug report, i'm on Puredyne LiveHD

my comment #8 was a hint (i have a ubuntu 9.04 on the same vaio
computer) as I thought it could help (or not ;)

i didn't try puredyne kernel installed on a ubuntu install

Bug description:
the grub default option "vga=791" won't let me boot, I get this error message
then pressing <space> works,

but I think for noobs it's better not having an error message at first boot ;)

removing "vga=791" from menu.lst fixes it (see wiki page)
