[Bug 479927] Re: some icons in xfce4 systray are not displayed properly. (qjackctl, skype, vlc)

hi enrike, can't find the post right now but i read somewhere that one
can simply ignore the message of the unknown boot option. I also got it
cause it seems the module is not built inside the kernel, there are few
more things one can try:

some people in the arch linux suggest:
"Setting "nomodeset" in the kernel append line works fine. It disables the KMS and returning no errors"

http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=81835
(even though is from arch it gives some hints on the issue)

i've got no problems with fonts rendering awry but do got some blank
icons, so decided to turn them all off from the menu, and actually got
happily used to the cleaner interface.

im running on 2.6.31-9-rt and also on ATI:
Mobility Radeon HD 3650
