Public bug reported:

while trying to build freej (from git) under lucid i encountered this:

checking for aalib.h usability... yes
checking for ALSA... yes
checking for JACK... yes
checking for FFTW... no
configure: error: *** Fftw3 development files not found!
zsh: exit 1     ./configure
(..tras++/streamlines/freej) % sudo apt-get install libfftw3-dev

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable

The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies.
  libfftw3-dev: Depends: libfftw3-3 (= 3.2.2-1) but 3.2.3-1~karmic1~ppa1 is to be installed
E: Broken packages
zsh: exit 100   sudo apt-get install libfftw3-dev

any hint as on how to get version 3.2.2-1 without losing fluxus among other packages depending on 3.2.3-1~karmic1 will be appreciated.
