Thank you for your contribution the merge is being made. However we will
not be enabling translations until about half way though the ubuntu
10.10 cycle. This is so that we don't waste translators time translating
strings we remove during the redesign. Also we need to work on a way to
deal with how the translations are dealt with if a person wishes to take
screenshots for documentation in a language that they do not speak.

Status in Quickshot - Capturing translated screenshots: Triaged

Bug description:
Quickshot cannot be translated into other languages than the English default, since gettext is not being initialized.

The linked branch provides a fix for that and marks some additional strings for translation.

The next step is to allow translating Quickshot in Launchpad. In order to do this:

1. Enable translations: https://launchpad.net/quickshot/+configure-translations 
2. Enable automatic imports: at https://translations.launchpad.net/quickshot/trunk/+translations-settings choose "Import template files"
3. Set translation permissions: at https://translations.launchpad.net/quickshot/+settings. I recommend using "Restricted"
4. Set translation group: I recommend using "Launchpad Translators", from the same URL as the above step
5. Enable automatic exports: at https://translations.launchpad.net/quickshot/trunk/+translations-settings choose the same branch as the imports or a separate one.
