Public bug reported:

Quickshot cannot be translated into other languages than the English
default, since gettext is not being initialized.

The linked branch provides a fix for that and marks some additional
strings for translation.

The next step is to allow translating Quickshot in Launchpad. In order
to do this:

1. Enable translations: https://launchpad.net/quickshot/+configure-translations 
2. Enable automatic imports: at https://translations.launchpad.net/quickshot/trunk/+translations-settings choose "Import template files"
3. Set translation permissions: at https://translations.launchpad.net/quickshot/+settings. I recommend using "Restricted"
4. Set translation group: I recommend using "Launchpad Translators", from the same URL as the above step
5. Enable automatic exports: at https://translations.launchpad.net/quickshot/trunk/+translations-settings choose the same branch as the imports or a separate one.
