Hi Dominik,

It's quite rare for a stable Ubuntu package to be updated unless
security holes exist (even if it is faulty!).  See the following link

We could try to make the case for a stable release update, but I don't
think we'd have much luck!

I can recreate the deleted PPA package for Lucid, if that helps.  I'll
provide a link in the scidavis forums once it's ready.
