Reviewing the upstream bug there seem to be a number of patches floating
around that are needed in combination to make this work.  I believe that
all of the ones mentioned were in v2.6.37-rc2 which would mean that they
are in the latest Natty kernel.  If those of you who are affected could
test that kernel.  Probabally the easiest way would be to boot the
current LIVE CD images which can be found at the URL below:

    http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/
