I have posted an updated Maverick kernel (version
2.6.35-24.42+kamal2~mjgbacklight1) to my backlight PPA at
https://launchpad.net/~kamalmostafa/+archive/linux-kamal-mjgbacklight to
address the recent regression in functionality reported by some users.

The updated kernel is currently queued up to build and should appear
later today.
