Pedro, base_location (or better_zip, which is just a symlink to base_location) is a zip object that has optional country and state.

This module here is a basic city object with a required country, pure and simple.

We're not tracking ZIP codes, we're tracking cities, often from countries which do not use ZIP and for other modules for which having a zip code is not desired.

To adapt base_location to fit our needs (which are to store cities as destinations, not finding zip codes by city) is simply not possible.
