Thanks for sharing this information!
A helpful member of the Scratch community has been working on a rpm version
of Scratch, and has just checked in their changes to our code repository.
We've made this new package available on our Scratch on Linux page:
http://info.scratch.mit.edu/Scratch_on_Linux
Please try it out if you have a chance, and let us know how it goes.
