Re: [Question #142657]: sikuli java programs with usage of special keys like TAB, ENTER
Question #142657 on Sikuli changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/sikuli/+question/142657
RaiMan proposed the following answer:
To call type() on the Java level, there are 3 alternatives
(using an existing Screen object scr)
--- no image, no key modifier:
scr.type(null, string-of-keys/key-constants, 0)
--- no image, with key modifier:
scr.type(null, string-of-keys/key-constants, input-event-mask-character)
--- image and key modifier:
scr.type(string-image-filename-or-text, string-of-keys/key-constants, input-event-mask-character)
string-of-keys/key-constants --- string: containing the textt to be typed and special keys as unicode characters
input-event-mask-character --- caracter: key modifier constant or binary-or of 2 or 3 key modifier constants
You have to use the definitions on the right side from the table below
(the constants definitions on Python level to be used with type() in the
interface to the Java level) or define your own constants on the Java
level accordingly.
Finally internally Robot.keyPress()/keyRelease() is used.
------------------------ definition of Class Key (Python)
from java.awt.event import InputEvent
##
# The Shift key modifier constant.
# This equals to java.awt.event.InputEvent.SHIFT_MASK.
KEY_SHIFT = InputEvent.SHIFT_MASK
##
# The Ctrl key modifier constant.
# This equals to java.awt.event.InputEvent.CTRL_MASK.
KEY_CTRL = InputEvent.CTRL_MASK
##
# The Meta/Windows/Apple key modifier constant.
# This equals to java.awt.event.InputEvent.META_MASK.
KEY_META = InputEvent.META_MASK
##
# The Apple(Command) key modifier constant.
# This equals to java.awt.event.InputEvent.META_MASK.
KEY_CMD = InputEvent.META_MASK
##
# The Windows key modifier constant.
# This equals to java.awt.event.InputEvent.META_MASK.
KEY_WIN = InputEvent.META_MASK
##
# The Alt key modifier constant.
# This equals to java.awt.event.InputEvent.ALT_MASK.
KEY_ALT = InputEvent.ALT_MASK
##
