On what system would you "compile test code"?
May be I can give you some hints on a suitable setup, that is compatible with mine.

Any contribution is always welcome.

I myself will start to work on this native enhancements (based on OpenCV
and Tesseract) in the last quarter to may be get some improvements into
version 1.1
