Re: [Question #246338]: NameError when importing sikuli modules

Question #246338 on Sikuli changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/sikuli/+question/246338

Jonas Maurer posted a new comment:
I do not recall having suggested you to do anything. And I also did not expect to teach you anything.
I apologize for any missunderstandings my post may or may not have created,
and like to emphasize that I would not dare to question you.

I just wanted to add my experience to the thread because I felt:
"I don't know what happened, but when closed the IDE and opened it again it worked, and it's still working."
Is not really an answer to the given problem. But it did help me understand the problem I had, which made motivated me to write about my misstakes in the hopes some other beginner like myself may find an answer to the same problem.
(I conclude from your reaction that that was a misstake on my behalf and will thus refrain from contributing in the future.)
The reason why I did not add the "from sikuli import *" line is because I missed that detail while reading the docs; and because I assumed consistent behaviour of the main file and module files.
Modules I use indeed do only contain defs; the example I made above is an exception I made solely made to explain the given problem. I thank you for pointing it out.
(And I used to consider def statements to be runnable as they do modify memory. I guess that was wrong)
Thank you for pointing out the reload function. That is very helpful advice.
