RaiMan proposed the following answer:
I do not see, wether #3 should not work:
if the image was not seen during turn 1 to 5, the loop will stop.
If the image was seen it will run to the end (but also check the image, but with no effect)

Your solution will add 2, every time, the image was seen.

So in the worst case (image always there) this will run 100 times.

So you should go back and check wether #3 does not do what you expect
(image not fond?)
