RaiMan proposed the following answer:
you should use version 1.1.0 and before you do:
- read carefully through http://sikulix.com/quickstart
- purge all pointers in system environment created for/with previous SikuliX versions
- do not mix with existing SikuliX stuff

You might work with Java6, though it is recommended to upgrade to Java 7
or even better to Java 8.
