Sorry no reply but my Mac is dead - I did well that was a 21.5" Imac late 2009 would love to get a new Mac but cannot afford it at this stage.
Now trying and failing to install Sikuli on a windows 7 machine - about to post my failure to look for help

  My Code after reading various Suggestions always returns "not found"
          if exists(Pattern("1464943398109.png").similar(0.99)): 
              print "found"
          else:
              print "not found"

  The Area of the Screen that I am testing is completely black and so is
  the image
