RaiMan proposed the following answer:
Be sure to have purged everything belonging to previous versions of
Sikuli(X) and reset your environment settings (especially path) to a
pre-Sikuli version.

Then retry with a clean installation of version 1.1.1

BTW: "nightly build" is a term in software development for pre-final versions, that are revised and rebuild on a regular base, to get nearer towards a final version.
1.1.1 is currently in a state of pre-final.
