what Sikuli version?

Did you save the script before closing the IDE?

If yes, did you check wether the images where stored in the script
folder after saving/closing?

Title:
  Image recogniation failed after preferences are updated

Status in Sikuli:
  Opinion

Bug description:
  Sikuli will fail to recognize saved images in scripts if we update preferences. 
  I selected autosave all and always highlight. 
  After restart sikuli stop recognizing saved images. 
  Took a new snapshot and saved the image. Executed script successfully.
  reopened Preferences and unchecked always highlight option. 
  Sikuli stopped recognizing saved images again.
