[Bug 894724] Re: Simple Scan depends on gnome-icon-theme and humanity-icon-theme
Is it correct that these packages are installed by default on
GNOME/Ubuntu installations and that there is a graceful fallback if the
icons are not found? In that case it should be possible to change it
from "depends" to "recommends" or "suggests"...

Title:
Simple Scan depends on gnome-icon-theme and humanity-icon-theme
Status in Simple Scan:
Confirmed
Bug description:
This is not really a bug, but it's very inconvenient on anything, different than the GNOME desktop environment - Simple scan depends on the gnome-icon-theme and humanity-icon-theme packages. In other words >20MB unnecessary dependencies just to show you 6-7 icons in it's interface...
It would be far better to make Simple Scan use the currently selected icon theme, instead of using the gnome icons.
This should not be a problem - I see that it uses standard icons.
