  Canon CanoScan D660U gives color-distorted image

Bug description:
  I'm using Simple Scan 2.32.0.1. on Ubuntu 11.04 x64 with a Canon
  CanoScan D660U, which is working fine, but in some cases I get images
  like the one in the attachment. It took me 3 tries to get a document
  with the distorted colors, sometimes this happens in 5-6 tries in a
  row.
