  simple-scan:4203 error with Epson SX515W (PID 0856)

Status in Simple Scan:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  simple-scan 1.0.2-0ubuntu1 (Ubuntu 10.04) crashes the Epson Stylus
  SX515W (which it identifies as "Epson PID 0856"). The device has to be
  powered off and on again. The simple-scan dialog box shows: "Failed to
  scan / Error communicating with scanner" with a console message "**
  (simple-scan:5317): WARNING **: Unable to read frame from device:
  Error during device I/O"
