[Bug 882608] Re: Cannot save scanned document
Could you attach the debug output by starting it like this:
Include the debug output of simple scan by running it from the command
line: simple-scan --debug > simple-scan.log 2>&1
Also, is it possible that this is related to the selected locale? Try starting simple-scan like this (will be started in English):
LC_ALL=C LANG=C LANGUAGE=C simple-scan
And report if the problem persists.

Cannot save scanned document

Bug description:
The "Save as..." dialog is blank. It does not allow to choose a
directory, does not display places nor file types. Apparently the
document can be saved, but there is no information where.
(always reproducible)
+ Scan some document
+ Click the Save button
+ A blank "save as..." dialog opens, as described above (see attached screenshot)
