I wanted to see the debug output so I retried to scan something with the
lock button on and Simple Scan has worked properly.

I do not know what is append the last time but currently there is none
problem. However the last time I tried many times and each time the
problem appear.

Bug description:
  Yesterday I forgot to unlock my scanner a cannon lide 210 and when I
  tried to use it I heard a strange noise as a blocked motor. So it is
  possible that simple scan has not verify the lock button. It could
  damage the scanner.

  I tried the same experience with xsane, there was none strange noise
  and it scan just a blank page. It is the same comportment on Windows
  with the Canon's software.
