[Bug 994592] Re: simple scan does not verify the lock button

 

About xsane, I did not try to scan a blank page but it seems that when
the lock button is on, the scanner return a blank page. On Windows with
the Canon's software it works in the same way so there is none problem
with that.

I verified in the check-list and the Canon Lide 210 works fine with a
recent sane version.

Moreover when the lock button is off there is none problem with Simple
Scan.

Excuse me if my explanation are not very clear, my English is again too
poor.

Bug description:
  Yesterday I forgot to unlock my scanner a cannon lide 210 and when I
  tried to use it I heard a strange noise as a blocked motor. So it is
  possible that simple scan has not verify the lock button. It could
  damage the scanner.

  I tried the same experience with xsane, there was none strange noise
  and it scan just a blank page. It is the same comportment on Windows
  with the Canon's software.
