[Bug 1023737] [NEW] Help Files Need Update

Public bug reported:

Simple Scan is a relatively young project that is small, valuable, and
has a small number of developers involved in it; It is exactly the type
of project I like getting deeply involved with. I just finished reading
all the open bugs and commented on some. Most of the bug reports and
feature request, however, require some programming skills I have not
mastered yet.

I can still contribute to the project nevertheless. I looked at the
source files, the help files in particular, and observed that much more
content can be added. The help documentation was last updated in 2010
and during the past two years many changes have been made to Simple
Scan. Furthermore, there are several old 'advanced' features that can
be added to the documentation such as editing 'advanced' settings
through gconf-editor which is preinstalled in many distributions. If it
is okay with you, I can take care of the aforementioned.

PS: The .page help files can be edited with a simple text editor,
however, do you know of any software that allows a more graphical
editing? I am assuming and HTML editor may work, though I have not
tested that just yet. I would like to add some screenshots and this task
will be performed more efficiently with a graphical editor rather than
manually typing the code.

** Affects: simple-scan
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New

** Tags: help
