I managed to follow the instructions to simple-scan-3.13.3. When i call
'make' I get the following:

theeren@dell:~/Desktop/simplescan/simple-scan$ make

I am a bit at a loss now. Can somebody provide some guidance about what do
to? I am on Ubuntu 13.04.
