We now have three (well, nearly three) mockups of possible layouts, and
we will test these with users on Monday and Tuesday. Then we'll pick one,
refine it, and publish it, before testing it some more the week
afterwards.

Michael suggested that I prioritize these, so here goes:

1. banners on the home screen (linked to applications or exhibits)
2. "Top rated" overall
3. "Most popular" overall
4. multiple screenshots for individual applications
5. preview videos for individual applications
6. "Top rated" in each department and subcategory
7. "Most popular" in each department and subcategory
8. "Recommended for you", based on everything extra you've installed
9. "People also installed", based on one particular item
10. "exhibits", i.e. temporary edited collections with custom artwork
11. Custom artwork for application screens

I guess each of these has six basic elements: generation, storage,
serving, displaying, caching, and fallback.

Of course there won't be time to implement all or even most of these for
11.10 -- but the more we can get, the better.
