Hi,

I had the same problems as several others with the headphones. Neither 
options=vaio nor options=sony-assamd worked for me. However, I found a 
solution here:

With option=hippo a "Headphone" slider appears in alsamixer, headphones 
work and the speaker is muted when headphones are plugged in.
