Since kernel 2.6.30 I'm using the vanilla sony-laptop modules because it
supports well all the features (buttons,...) of my Z21MN. To switch off
the hungry nvidia chipset (I use only the Intel one) I'm using the
nvidia-control module (posted some times ago in this ML). What I
understood is that its goal is just to switch off the nvidia chipset
(what I need).

My question is: in a recent kernel (>=2.6.30), what's the difference in
using the nvidia-control module or the sony-laptop-zseries one?
