Re: wiki
I agree, but have wondered about this for a number of reasons...
People may have a hard time wanting to post configuration information to the
wiki if they don't use Ubuntu.
As of right now, there are two places to be with a Vaio Z on Linux...1st
half of '09 and NOW...
What I mean is, we are in quite a predicament right now, lots has changed!
Eva's module is getting deprecated (Thanks to Norbert and the others for
keeping us going!)
Grub2 has changed some things...
New Kernels
Intel graphics (at least in Ubuntu) are a bit shoddy right now...
etc...
I for one, using my computer everyday for work and school, should not have
upgraded to Karmic YET...I have had a lot of issues, which may be fixed
quickly by a long-time hack, but for me, it's just too much downtime...
So how can we organize our wiki? I'm sure plenty of people on this list
would stick to last Fedora or last Ubuntu to have EVERYTHING
working...likewise I'm sure there are plenty of people that love to break
their configs daily just to hack it back together (That was me a year ago :)
God I miss those days!)
Do we have a "safe" stable instructions and then a "experimental
instructions"?
Thoughts?
