I wanted to know what acpi settings are used in windows that you do not
want in linux and cannot use? Is that the !Windows 2006 option at boot
time (which is what I have and use)?
I see what the module does in the code. Are you suggesting that there is an acpi call that windows uses to switch cards which is disabled in linux somehow?

I initiate the rescan by finding the main pci bus device in /sys/devices and do echo 1 > rescan.
The first card is the intel, second one is nvidia.
I only use !Windows 2006 on boot command an have speed_stamina=3 on module load.

I guess I expected
the intel card to go away if the nvidia one is active. I will have to
try the other way around and see if the nvidia card would go away in stamina mode after pci bus rescan
