Re: problems with janitor script
Hi all,
I have now also tried the installation manual by Philipp Blanke and I
realised that there is no xorg.conf to begin with in the /etc/X11/ directory
on my system, even if I do
>apt-get --reinstall install xserver-xorg-core libgl1-mesa-glx
I read somewhere that Ubuntu 9.10 does not require the xorg.conf anymore.
Probably I am mistaken.
Anyway, after doing
>X -configure
I get a new a new xorg.conf that I have edited according to Philipp's
script, obtaining a .NVIDIA and .INTEL version (and also copying the
libraries accordingly).
I then proceed as listed in the installation guide.
However, after a cold start I still get only the Stamina LED to light up,
NVidia card does not work.
Any suggestions? Maybe the jokey package is not running properly on my
system (see the log.txt) with the janitor script?
Thanks, Tobias.
